Group therapy at Cause Effect Psychology will provide you the opportunity to explore personal issues, develop greater awareness of your feelings and behaviours, and receive support from peers, in a safe and confidential environment.
Group therapy is a form of psychotherapy where a small group of individuals with similar issues or goals come together to support one another under the guidance of one of our experienced psychologists or therapists. The format typically involves group discussions, shared experiences, and exercises designed to help members explore their thoughts and emotions in a supportive environment.
Groups generally consist of four to eight members and one therapist. The format for our group therapy sessions does vary, although they are typically 75 minutes in length and meet on a weekly basis. Group therapy programs are hosted at our practice at scheduled dates through the year, so keep an eye out for our promotions!
Our groups require an initial consultation with the group facilitator prior to joining. Groups require a commitment and are not a “drop-in” format.
